Has anyone looked into asynchronous instead of peer-to-peer, sync'd play?
I know there is/was something called CSDoom (Client/Server Doom) that seemed to work well enough... does anyone have any possible clue how much tweaking would be required? The idea is to optionally use an async path, leaving the synchronous stuff as the default for compatibility. Async client/server play could be very interesting, IMO.
