So, after reminding myself of the idea in ZXD's recent project thread (and thanks to Icy's finding of the relevant sprite + Neoworm's making it), I've put together a certain something I've wanted to for quite a while:

Behold, the Arbalest of the Ancients:

It's basically a super crossbow: two arrows per-shot, and lots more arrows. It's been done, yes, but I always wanted to see something big n' bulky serve as Heretic's SSG equivalent. It's robably out of balance right now, but I figure it's worth posting up to let you guys give it a test run or two. Summon "SuperCrossbow" to use (it's properly stacked on slot 3). Use wherever, but be warned I'll probably update it at some point.

Sorry 'bout the temporary filehost. I'll probably up this to R667 at some point. Just wanted to post it here first to get the kinks worked out.

Not going to ask why there are three bolts instead of two because that will ruin the awesome.

EDIT: Just used it and I have to say its a little too powerful. Fun to use though.
EDIT2: Actually its weird. Sometimes its too powerful and sometimes its piss weak. I one-shotted a weredragon once but it took me three shots to kill a gargoyle at a different time.

It's a lot more like the SSG in the sense that each shot does little damage (each large bolt actually only does 6 instead of 10 like the standard crossbow), so peppering an enemy is a lot less effective. Though yeah, a shot to the face or two will murderize everything.

Edited. Huh, odd -- I figured it had a resemblance to the Wolfen crossbow, but it's been so long since I've played it that I didn't realize it was the same one.
