Some crystalline textures that fit in doom.
I need some textures that look like they were made entirely of diamonds. I will gladly give credit if anyone could help me.

Hm, what about recoloring the red hell stone texture in greyish blue?FireSeraphim wrote:I need some textures that look like they were made entirely of diamonds. I will gladly give credit if anyone could help me.

I don't think that gonna be good enough. But I'll try it and see how it looks.

Nope. It wouldn't work in doom.

How about doing a collage of Starcraft minerals?
Or using screenshots from the Lemmings crystal theme. That's one of the prettier tilesets in the game.
You might find other minerals here: http://www.filterforge.com/filters/cate ... page1.html

Yeah, Blox' one really wins the competition
How did you do that?

Re: Some crystalline textures that fit in doom.
Eh, first I resized it to twice the size (Nearest Neighbor), then I duplicated it, resized to 50% the size, tiled four of those, turned them by what looks like 180 degrees.
Color burned with those, duplicated those, did the same stuff again (half size, rotating what seems like 90 degrees?), tiled, did some layer pestering I can't remember, then ended up with a couple of them stacked with Soft Light. Which gave it that piece-y look.
Merged it all, and clone stamped stuff up. Resized back to 128^2.
Phew. Something like that, at least.

I hope he doesn't need them in the Doom palette because most of the colours in that pic are not available in the Doom palette.

He'd be troubled to find any color like that in the Doom palette.
White is not a problem, however.

Haha, nice -- you've managed to make something great-looking out of my least favorite Doom 2 texture (I simply can't see it out of Wolfenstein's context
).
