I'm looking for a decent alternative the hanged Commander Keen sprite in Doom 2.

Can anyone create or, at least, show me where I can find a good alternative?

What about hanged Duke Nukem? DN3D had dead Doomguy, why couldn't Doom have hanged DN? :P

Teeeechnically speaking, wouldn't anything with a hurt/death frame act as a decent alternative for Keen?

TVR! has the chained-up Zombiemen, which I thought was a neat idea.

The character was Johnny Dash, it's the game that was Monster Bash.

I support the Duke Nukem idea... IIRC Blood had a chained up Duke sprite, too, but I think 3DR forced them to take it out of the later versions or something?

Nope, never. 3DR really loved the whole poking fun at each other thing, hence why they did it so much. Also, it's of note that 3DR worked on Blood themselves for a brief time before they sold it to Monolith. So the Duke reference fits even more.
