Marine, before you start asking for help on your new mega-cool-and-whatnot project, make sure you have something to show first (screenshots, map downloads, etc). Keep in mind we've already seen thousands of upcoming projects that actually never got done.

C'mon guys.
How the hell is he supposed to post screenshots of music? Show their waveform?
Anyway, this is just excellent. Every track is done wonderfully. I especially love D_ROMERO.

Re: Doom HD Music
yeah... I've found that even the best Mp3 music seems to get repetitive/boring after a while, unless it was specifically made to be played with the game (remixes of game songs usually doesn't count... it's meant to be listened to, not played along with). It especially shows in single player...Slax wrote:Hm. Soundfonts are just way better.
I've only found a couple exceptions:
The Turrican Hero of Steel soundtrack (even if it's unfitting... Turrican rules over most soundtracks)
Spoiler:perfect level 2 music. Ben Daglish thought so too
another one from Alpha Delta invasion... d_croket. I have no clue what it is, but I could listen to it all day. d_lavain also.

Re: Doom HD Music
I'm kinda "meh" on this one. It's not that it's bad, it's that it's not really great either. Many songs aren't a huge amount better than just listening to the original songs with an advanced MIDI player. I appreciate your effort, though.
It does loop better than most Doom remix soundtracks (probably since that was the intended purpose), so it gets some points for that, even if it doesn't always fit the levels perfectly.

Way to welcome a new user by teaching him it's acceptable to post 100MB wadfiles of music that he got from other people, likely without asking their permissioncq75 wrote:Way to welcome a new user guys...

Re: Doom HD Music
How about youtubin' these bad boys so we can try before we buy? Or steal. Whichever.
Also, why isn't this project (or whatever you call it) called Rip and Tear? They ARE remixes.

Brohettes and Broheezys, I do declare that our sense of sarcasmatorization has been suitably misaligned for a time now. This mildly discomforts me.

Re: Doom HD Music
Well we know the music isn't original...so I think the biggest issue here is having wad files full of tracks that are not his without their permission/credit(?).
Personally I prefer a really good soundfont, I've found them to be a lot more flexible...(Now if only CrisisGM worked on this computer >_<)
