Alright! :D Looks awesome. No doubt when this releases, I'm gonna be playing this in 320x200 with framerate capping on. :P

Thanks! :) Oh, by the way, is it alright if I use some of your music for this? Also, would you consider making some music specifically for this?

Looks nice. :)

I'm guessing that the architecture is simple cause you want it to look like original Doom.

That would be the case. How does the texturing look? (besides the crate maze, which is pretty unfinished at the moment)

It's all OK. :)
Looks simple like Original Doom and I guess that's what you want.

Yes, it's fine. :) I might have some time to do some original stuff for this, but I really need to get some of my other musical contributions out the way while I have some free time.

I can't see the screenies at work (unless someone wants to email them to me ;) caligari DOT 87 AT gmail DOT com) but I did some work on a project like this with a couple guys a few years ago and I'd love to help :D What kind of stuff would you need done?

This is pretty cool, I must say -- there's something about the Doom alphas I've always just loved for some reason.

Not sure how interested you'd be, but I've made "finished" versions of the two never-used alpha maps if you're interested in messing with them. The wad is here (E5M1 and E5M4 are the ones in question), though they'd probably need a lot of de-voidification before they'd fit. Still might be easier than going the other way around and building from the alpha map up, at least.

Not really sure yet (still early in development), but what kind of stuff are you good at? If you're good at spriting,
I actually need a new sprite for the rocket launcher. It should be black and based on the pickup sprite from the 0.5 alpha.
Also, I need a new sprite for the bayonet. Probably just the 0.5 version rifle with a bayonet attached, I would do it myself but I'm focusing on the maps right now.

Thanks, but I'm already going to build the maps from the alpha up. I played the lost episode when it came out though, it was pretty awesome. :)

I'm pretty good with graphics in general. If the spriting isn't too complex, I could help out a little on that for sure. I'll see what I can do over the weekend.

Considering the last post was in 2008, probably not.

Will you be able to break the curse and be the first to actually finish a Doom Bible project? Or will this project die like its legions of unlucky predecessors, whose plaintive wails still haunt the dusty basements of the most ancient project forums that still stand to this day?
