Running ENB series in Zdoom
I've seen that theres a few games that offer an ENB addon(Morrowind,Stalker,GTA:SA)is there any way that I can run ENB through GZDoom?I know this question is probably [censored word] but my curiousity is getting the best of me.

Re: ENB?
The ENB series work by offering custom DirectX libraries. So the game calls a generic function, and it's "improved" by having more stuff piggybacking onto the normal code.
GZDoom's OpenGL renderer uses, surprise, the OpenGL library -- not the DirectX library. So you are free to put all the replacement dwhatever.dll files you find on the ENB Series site in the GZDoom folder, none of them will have any effect on the renderer.
Oh, and last time I checked there was no Morrowind version of ENB series, versions from other games had to be tested and it was trial and errors.

Re: ENB?
Actually, it works fine in gzdoom and skulltag's software mode. It's a bit weird though. Sometimes it looks odd.

@the_funktasm:Thanks for that pic,I can see that even if you could use ENB it would just make it uglier. It also seems like it would cause extreme lag.
@Gez:Actually they do have ENB series for morrowind.

Actually, it runs fine and can look great in certain circumstances. It just doesn't work right in gl mode.Captain Proof wrote:@the_funktasm:Thanks for that pic,I can see that even if you could use ENB it would just make it uglier. It also seems like it would cause extreme lag.

I know Vality and his site. And if you had read it, you'd have seen things like this:Captain Proof wrote:@Gez:Actually they do have ENB series for morrowind.

It wasn't made specifically for Morrowind, but there are a few versions that work with Morrowind.
See? Your "Morrowind version of ENB series" is the GTA:SA version...Note: The versions linked to are the gta: san andreas versions, as they are the best versions for Morrowind.

Re: ENB?
You put the San Andreas version in with the GZdoom or Skulltag exe. Then set it to software mode. You'll need to tweak it to be able to see detail well.Captain Proof wrote:Wait so you got it to work? How did you do that?

Yeah, and only on the HUD weapon and status bar face! And to get these "nice" next-gen special effects, you have to use the renderer that doesn't support true colors, dynamic lights or undistorted 3D rendering!
I really can't think of anything more pointless in Doom modding.

Re: ENB?
It actually was a bad example, because it DOES work on more than the HUD.Gez wrote:Yeah, and only on the HUD weapon and status bar face! And to get these "nice" next-gen special effects, you have to use the renderer that doesn't support true colors, dynamic lights or undistorted 3D rendering!
