Does anyone know of a tool that can convert sounds, .wav, ogg, mp3, from stereo to mono by meshing the channels, and from 44100 hz to 22050 hz or 11025 hz and stuff? I really dont need the stereo and high hz in a bunch of sounds of mine, and they make the sound file large.

Any decent sound editor should do it. I use GoldWave but it's not free. Audacity is and should do what you want.

Audacity should work alright, but I'd be careful about how low you downsample your sounds, as you may end up removing the punch from a gunshot, or the essential high tones from a good energy weapon. Try to find a balance, and for size concerns, Ogg is your friend.

There is, however, a free
trial version of Goldwave available here:
http://www.goldwave.com/release.php
To quote the help files:
Code: Select all
This evaluation version is limited to 150 commands each session and 2000 commands total. When the session limit is reached, a reminder message appears whenever you use a control in the Control window. Exiting and restarting GoldWave lets you use another 150 commands without interruption. The program stops working when the total command count is reached. By registering, you will receive a license that removes this counter completely.
I should like to point out that Goldwave seems to me to be a particularly useful bit of software; you may find it grows on you.
