Save game freeze

This has been happening to me since I downloaded .63. Sometimes after I save a game, if I go into the load game screen Zdoom just locks up. I can still hear the MIDI music playing but that's it. I have to go into the task manager and kill it manually. I tried running ZDoom again after one of these freezes and it froze immediatly upon loading. I tried running it again and this time it froze my entire computer, forcing me to restart. Once I deleted all the save files in the Zdoom directory, it ran fine. Maybe it's making some sort of corrupted save file ?

I'm running Windows 98SE on an AMD 900MHz t-bird w/ 256 RAM. Nothing special at all. My computer is not infected with tons of spyware either :P

Also, does anyone know where I can get 62.cab so I don't have to deal with this bug until .64 or whenever it's fixed?

You should, in these cases, mention some details about your equipment and operating system.

I managed to trigger it again .. here's the steps I took :

1. Load Zdoom with no save files present and start map01. Save game (F2). Complete map01.
2. Complete map02.
3. Load the Load game screen (F3) and delete the auto-save file for map02.
4. Load the Load game screen (F3) again - Zdoom freezes.

Have you tried CHKDSK or something like that to make sure it's not a HD problem?

This sounds more like a system problem than a software problem I'd say...
