Yes, because Chocolate Doom perfectly emulates all the Doom2.exe behaviours, segs limit and visplane overflows included. It's just Doom2.exe for Windows.

Does Chocolate Doom work under ZDL?

I tried to use it under ZDL, but for some reason it made a default.cfg in my wads folder, which is kept in my Zdoom folder, and ignored the one already in my ChocoDoom folder... :?

You should report that as a bug. I can't believe it's intentional.

I tried using Chocolate Doom with ZDL again, and it worked fine the very first time I tried to use it, but once I tried running it with a PWAD, it did that strange behaviour again, and once again when I removed the IWAD.

Bizarre.

i tried dosbox as well, works fine. is there any good program for online gaming with it? i played LAN deathmatches back then, but i recall there was such a program for duke nukem 3d (kali, afair), it emulated lan via internet.

Sounds like ZDL is setting the local directory when you change loaded files, and Chocolate Doom is looking in the local directory for its config.

It would be a ZDL bug because it should set the local directory to where CDoom is.

Probably irrelevant to this issue, but ZDL is a Zdoom launcher (as the name suggests). I think the closest you get to a guarantee of it working with other ports is that it *might* work with them.

Might explain why The Absolution went over like a dead rat in the punchbowl when I tried it with ZDL.
