Running a server behind a firewall
Has anyone yet figured out how to run Zdoom from behind a hardware firewall?

If from the topic, I would say follow Hotwax's advice.Dragon wrote:Has anyone yet figured out how to run Zdoom from behind a hardware firewall?
Depending on your situation, this might even not suffice (i.e. if you got a VPN address such as 192.168.x.x, 169.254.x.x, 10.x.x.x etc.), in that case you would need an awkward combination of NAT and Port Forwarding.

I believe you simply need to forward port 5029 through the firewall to the computer which will host the game. A client behind a firewall needs to do nothing. Be sure that the clients join the host's WAN IP address, not the LAN IP address. Also, be sure that the host starts with -netmode 1 if there are three or more players.
