Marathon Terminals

As hinted to in this thread, I have been working on something very special. To all you Marathon fans out there, assuming at least one exists, I've got a nice surprise for you.

Although it's not perfect yet, here is a sort of "preview" library that showcases my faithful remake of Marathon's terminal screens. A handy text file included contains a bit more info, especially interesting to mappers. Either way, check it out for grins at least.

Needless to say, I have plans of my own, and I'm hoping that soon enough my lack of inspiration will cease to hinder my progress...

Slight Update.

I've got a basic idea of the storyline fleshed out for the project this is intended for, and I've come up with a few designs for some of the terminal graphics. Check this out.

Huh, Sathanas? Kyria? What kind of trickery is this?

While I'm not planning on ripping off or adding on to Marathon's storyline itself, the storyline will be *very* similar in style and presentation. As you can see, the new AIs and the logos for the UAC and Zen Dynamics corporations fit quite well. Exit Pfhor, Enter Demons.

More to come, it seems.

P.S. : Quite interesting how everyone's favorite rampant AI has decided to stop by for a visit. Send my regards to Leela, will you?

Sathanas and Kyria. Interesting names. So this will be your story using a marathon style of storytelling or will durandal be carving the names of these two into moons as well? :D

I actually remember the shareware version of marathon when I was a little kid! I think it still exists on my dad's mac.

Kudos to Setzer, this WAD showcases some high-quality stuff :thumb:

Hmm... I hope I'm not spoiling anything like crazy here, but seeing that Zen Dynamics is suddenly involved, I've got the right to say something. :P

Has anyone here who's played Zero's (er... Setzer's... *namechangegrumble*) semi-hidden Zero Tolerance Gamma taken a look at the little story file included (zp-zeros.txt)? Seeing that Zen is mentioned both there and in this thread (as well as a couple of characters of mine making a guest appearance... o_O) and Zero Tolerance would be a very convenient base for any type of project, this raises a bit of suspicion, don't you think? Hehe... :P

And now that I mention it... why isn't there any mention of Zerot on these forums yet? Way to leave things buried, Zero. :P
