[Project] Doom2 remake (Abandoned?)

This is (as the title suggests) a remake of doom2. The focus will be to enhance as many areas of doom 2 as possible. So add in a few zdoom effects, increase the detail, etc. Hell, we can even add in a few new monsters.
All maps will be based of the original (or completely new if you want) except map 30 and secret levels. Map 30 will be nothing but a boss battle. The secret levels will be whatever you want. You are allowed to add in new areas to maps based off the original.

So here is a list of all the things I hope this project will include:

New graphics - similar to doom 2, but better
Better music - anything you want
New monsters - anything you want
map1-29 - based off doom2 maps, or new if you want.
map 30 - boss (anything you want)
secret levels - anything you want.
New sounds - anything you want, as long as they aren't weird
(no demon grunting sounds for using a chainsaw!)
New Weapons - Based off doom2, except with added effects

KDiZD isnt even done yet and (I believe) ZDCMP2 will be the next priorety. Besides, I think more people wanted to see Episode 2 than Doom2

well i might be intrested in making maps but i dont know am i able to make good maps... :roll: and also i have my own "Herexen" "project" :)

Technically, this isn't making maps. This is modifying the doom2 maps to include zdoom effects (and such). Also, I've played your "Herexen" project. It was very good (in my opinion), and if you want to map, just state what map you want. I'm almost done with map01. I just need to make a few minor adjustments.

Map01 is finished. I didn't really focus on detailing as much as I did on changing the gameplay. If anyone wants to go through the map and add in detail, go ahead.

This doesn't just remake doom maps. This enhances the graphics, adds new weapons and monsters, has new music and sounds, etc.

well i would like to join this project but i think i need more practising with scripts and that kind of things... because, i dont know anything about making scripts... so i think i would be no help in this project at this time... :(
