Today I learned that my friend Matthew (AKA Ghastly) died in his sleep last night.

He was like my little brother.

I'm so sorry Neural. Ghastly was such a friendly, comforting presence. This is absolutely gut-wrenching.

Holy shit, that's awful.

He was a real big contributor back in the day. This community surely has suffered a loss.

Yet another person I've personally talked to that passed. Damn.

I've once known somebody from another community that also passed away in their sleep, diabetic complications. It hit a lot of people in said community very hard as well, someone else in said other community even made a full on memorial map to pay homage with.

I never had a chance to meet Ghastly, but everytime I hear of someone passing away in their sleep I can't imagine how stressful and horrifying it is when these things happen, so I'm really sorry to hear of this.

That hurts, he will be missed.

Rest in peace, buddy.

A real shame, he was a big presence in the zdoom community.

I am shocked and saddened. I will always remember him. I'm at loss for words really. RIP Ghastly.
