GZPT - Playable Teaser in Gzdoom (Standalone - Out Now!)

Post by Batandy »

GZ PT is a standalone non-profit GZDOOM based remake of Hideo Kojima's Playable Teaser. While not a 1:1 remake, every sequence has been recreated as close as possible to the original, with low res assets and textures in true retro fashion.
Will you manage to escape the haunted corridor?

This game is completely standalone, only GZDOOM is required to play!

Such a wonderful tribute. A damn near 1/1 atmosphere from the original with a retro feel to it.

Gotta try it out late in the night (If i can stand up). I still have the P.T made in Unreal engine which was removed for a C&D letter.

I sure hope more streamers like Vinesauce fellas would play this. I certainly love the chill and grim atmosphere! It's all done with GZDoom and all.

That was really cool experience. The section I struggled with turned out to be the ending.

That cinematic was a real tease, now I want more Silent Hill(s) in GZDoom. Thanks for putting that together.

Amazing... near AAA game styles coming to a 16-bit type engine.

How do you beat the final section? I looked up how to do it in the real thing, but that didn’t help me. What are you supposed to do?

No, because it's not a Doom game despite being on Gzdoom, and also because itch.io will do just fine.
