Graphical corruption after converting to paletted GFX?

I was playing Chainworm Kommando with a custom palette, and noticed that it wasn't affecting things; so I tried to convert the PNG graphics inside the wad to Doom GFX... This worked for some, but others are horribly glitched out when in-game. I checked the graphics in Slade and they look completely normal before or after conversion so I don't get it.. here is a screen of what it looks like. The textures are normally just red bricks, and then some red and tan bricks, should be nothing too wild for Doom even without a custom palette.

I did think to try the conversion with and without transparency turned on in Slade, but that did not actually help..

I really don't know what could be going wrong..

It looks like its only affecting the flats you converted, paletted flats have to be specifically converted to Doom Flats, not just paletted textures. I've made the same error, and they looked like that when loaded.
