GZDoom 4.12.2 Multiplayer Launcher Locks out Mouse in Fullscreen Mode

I posted about this in Doomworld already, but I figured it might get more attention here. I mostly just use GZDoom for multiplayer. Recently, I did a much needed upgrade to the latest version of GZDoom (from 3.8.2), but there's an issue when launching games in multiplayer, specifically with the screen that displays when you're either waiting to join a game or waiting for someone else to connect. The new "waiting screen" launcher locks out the mouse and prevents me from moving the cursor, and then when the game launches, the "hourglass" cursor is stuck in the middle of the game and doesn't go away. My friend said he also has the same problem with the cursor being "locked out" while waiting to join my server. That means, if something glitches out, there's no way to click to abort the game other than by hitting alt+f4. The problem doesn't happen in windowed mode, but I don't want to run GZDoom that way (and I don't want to have to switch between windowed and fullscreen every time I launch a multiplayer game). I've downgraded to GZDoom 4.11.3 for now, since it uses the old-style multiplayer waiting window which doesn't have these issues (I'm not sure what was the first version that changed the multiplayer launcher, but this was the newest version I could find in the archives).
