Strange misaligned textures

Post by Deadfish »

I am building my first map in Ultimate Doom Builder and I am not sure where the problem I am going to describe comes from.
When I look at a textured wall in Ultimate Doom Builder it looks total different then the textured wall in the game with gzdoom engine.
I used OTEX and DOOM2 Textures and DOOM2 WAD.

My setup:
Ultimate Doom Builder 3.0.0.4043 (724bd24), Windows 10 with newest Updates, gzdoom 4.10.0
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I would upload the wad if it wasn't for the 50 kib upload limitation.

Halleluja,

I did Slade for the first time and it worked! :)
Now here is my map, it's a very early version.
Please look for the error.

Sorry, but I can't reproduce the issue. I don't see a yellow texture. I used the SLADE editor here.

The problem is not the yellow texture, because thats just the selection from the mouseover in the Ultimate Doom Builder Editor.
The problem is that the texture in the Editor is far better aligned. Look at the first two screenshots, you will see a difference.
The textures somwhere else, but not on the same spot like in the editor. The computer panel and the blue texture are far more up, than in the editor.

It still looks fine to me, in game, and in SLADE.

You have to compare the wall in Visual Mode (Q) with ingame textures in Doom.
I just made a Github Bug Report too, in case that its a UDB Bug.

Go ahead and make a new post in GZDoom's Bug thread. I feel this thread has been moved around too much already. Just link back to this and provide any information that Graf and team would need. :)
