Can you recommend me some mods for Raze?
Preferably mods that contain maps to beat.
Preferably mods for Blood, Shadow warrior and Redneck Rampage.
Preferably with a guide of how to properly run the mod on Raze.

There are tons of user addons for Blood. Death Wish is probably the highest regarded, but I also recommend French Meat and Way of Ira.
SW has little content made past the mid-2000s, and RR even less so.
For SW I'd suggest Showdown in Suzhou by Methy. It's just a single map but it's well made.

Usually, you can load things like you'd do in GZDoom: keep the mod zipped, and just drag and drop the zip on raze.exe.

The main exception being Duke and RR where it is normally necessary to specify the main .con file with "-con". Poor game design made it virtually impossible to name CONs to get them autoloaded.
In general, what Gez said. Unless they are packaged as a .grp file leave them zipped and use '-file' which evades most of Build's file system insanity and uses Doom-like prioritization rules.

Sadly it's installer doesn't seems to work on Linux/Wine (`ERROR: BLOOD.RFF not found. Make sure the Blood game dir is available one directory up.`) and looks very hacky (wants to modify my Blood installation?)
Installer looks hacky too. Yes, it has an installer too, and looks like it has to be installed in order to play.

For Blood, there's also CWHHROT, Bloody Pulp Fiction, Eviction, Bloodlines, Trauma Therapy, Dark Times (WARNING: If memory doesn't fail me, this is basically the Blood equivalent of Eternal Doom or Stardate 20x7 - visually stunning and with good gameplay, but very cryptic, so keep a walkthough at hand), Somewhere Under the Sea, The Lost Episode, Out for Blood, and Rage Against the Machine.Phredreeke wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 10:10 pm There are tons of user addons for Blood. Playing Bloodlines right now, works well so far.

I think the installers are from before before RFF content injection was supported by Raze. I did run IRA and the cat voxel appears correctly in episode 2 so I think it works

Most of these installers are from before Raze even existed. I found that most Blood mods just work fine if the zips are loaded as-is, there's only a small number that have such a screwed up setup that without explicit installation they won't work.

Luckily, a number of those have been repackaged, either officially or by fans, to ditch that DOS bullshit/installers. Mostly as GDX-friendly mods, but they work just fine for others.
No problem x3.

This isn't just for DOS though... we have to do the same thing for NBlood. NBlood is a nice port if you know what you're doing, but things like this makes me reluctant to recommend it to newcomers.sinisterseed wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 10:07 am Most of these installers are from before Raze even existed. Yes, because when the mod was released Raze didn't parse the files used to insert new assets into RFF files. Raze now loads those files natively.
