Support for Vacation SSIs

Post by NightFright »

It seems the SSI packs of Duke Caribbean are currently still not supported by Raze. There is a comment about them in raze.pk3 (engine\grpinfo.txt), but apparently no definitions have been created since it was unclear what's going on with them (?). EDuke32 supports these files without issues.

vaca15.ssi:
- Size: 22521880 bytes
- CRC32: B62B42FD

vacapp.ssi:
- Size: 22551333 bytes
- CRC32: 2F4FCCEE

vaca13.ssi:
- Size: 23559381 bytes
- CRC32: 4A2DBB62

DukeDC SSIs are detected just fine, btw.
In general, all grps listed here should be supported.

I do not have these files and EDuke32 has some special handling for them. Without a means to check them I cannot add them because I need to know what's wrong with them.
I have one Vacation SSI, that one should be supported.

I can send at least the ones for 1.3D and 1.5 to you, I have those.

That would be enough, I think. The third one seems to be a variation of the 15.
I jjust need to see why EDuke had to add some special handler for them.

That's an unusual statement from you. I gave you SSIs for Caribbean over a year ago and you added support for them in Raze a long time ago.

I saw that. That's why I was surprised Vacation SSIs didn't work. I assumed it had been added in the meantime, but apparently it was only done for DukeDC.

Were they all in the package? I added support for those I had but I never had them all. Or they must have gotten lost again.

But you have what you need now, right? (Just in case there's still something I can add to help with getting this working.)

Yes, sorry. I've been a bit busy the last few days as you might have noticed in my lack of commits.
