Story:

On the distant lost colony world of Cretu war rages unending.
1000 years after the holy revolution the "Canonicate of the Lord"
rules with an iron fist.
Through its most feared and devoted servants the "order of the holy templar"
its word is absolute law.
Now as the once mighty and prosperous civilization falls into decline
a dark rebelion sweeps through the world.
Aided by an insidious, supernatural force the infidel rebels seek to
overthrow the Canonicate and return the planet to its ancient abhorent rulers.
On the hellish, crater pocked battlefields surrounding the holy city of Iz
a lone Templar of rank awakens from his death sleep surounded by the broken
bodies of fallen comrades.
The sounds of battle and unseen horrors echo off the walls of the overun
fort he occupies.
Saying a final prayer to his god he readies his sidearm and prepares to face
down the abject evil lurking just beyond the heavy steel blastdoors.

From what I can see looks promising
I always loved the gritty, obscure, violently inhuman and exaggeratedly militarized lore of W40k. The Imperial Guard is by far my favourite faction.
I even attempted to make a few maps based on this universe before, mainly horde maps where you have to defend your stronghold.
I will keep an eye on this, good luck!

Thanks bro, oddly enough just finished another playthrough of your colonial marines mod big fan of your work.
Yeah been in love with the world of 40k since I was a boy and while I deffinitely don't have the time (or money) to paint minis the lore is so deep and rich its a constant source of inspiration.
Eventually I was hoping to overhaul that astartes doom mod with doom style space marines, chaos space marines, cultists and demons.

Heres the pistol, shotgun and chaingun replacement.
Yeah they are just modified realm667 weapons but they work really well with the setting.

Dude, this looks awesome. The screen shots on the MODDB are insane!
I really like the aesthetic you've chosen. And Siege Of Vrax is a great source material.
Let me know if you'd like some custom weapon sprites. I think I can dig up a few things that would be of a similar theme.
