Because people seem to not understand that there is no group on the forum called "X or Y mod developers" (i.e. no "Brutal Doom Developers", or "ZGolf Developers", etc), the messages have been going to the Developers group instead.
The developers group is exclusively open to PM's so that you can send samples of your work for a bug report without publishing it. We prefer the samples to be as stripped-down as possible in order to demonstrate the bug, obviously, still, but this gives you an opportunity to ensure the correct developer gets your work and is able to investigate your bug.
If you want to do that, now you must address "GZDoom Developers" instead. This should help prevent us from accidentally getting those messages that were not meant for us.
It is not meant for asking questions - we have the editing forums open for that, and sorry, we don't want to do it privately - mainly because we don't always have time, and also because others may benefit from the answer to your question, as well.

Emphasis on this. It happens frequently that some modders ask editing questions via PM. I normally do not respond to them as a matter of principle so it's normally a wasted effort - aside from being impolite to the rest of the community.
