keeping options on update
Hi, I was wondering if you can copy an old file from a previous version to keep the settings the same after you download a new version that comes out. Just lazy and don't want to do it all over again if I don't have to.

Generally, yes, you can! As far as I've seen, the devs go to great pains to make sure that existing user settings aren't messed with when new features come up. If you want to make absolutely sure, though, rename your gzdoom-(username).ini file to gzdoom.ini, then any new config files will be based on that one, rather than the default settings. In the event that you do need to just nuke your config and start over, you can use this method to preserve your preferences for controls and graphic settings.Clara Socklekitch wrote:Hi, I was wondering if you can copy an old file from a previous version to keep the settings the same after you download a new version that comes out.
