Extra gore in my game?

I'veseen a few mods on youtube mainly that show HEAPS of exaggerated gore and monster exploding into clouds of blood. Even the blood colour matched the monsters. How would I add this feature to my game as part of the wad? Which mod could be used inside it?

This is a main feature of many popular Doom gameplay mods; among the ones I can recall that include features like this are Beautiful Doom, Demonsteele, and DoomRL Arsenal. Primarily, it works by replacing the blood actors and editing monsters' XDeath frames.

A couple of popular "drop in" mods that provide only blood effects are Droplets and Nashgore, though the latter does not have a current download link.
