i have seen this in both mm's, and i have been wondering how to do it...

If you just mean changing the depth of the water - move the control sector floor with a line/script.

cool =D thx, thats what i thought it was, but seeings my copm has been funky when i make errors in my maps and WA crashes, corrupting my file, didnt want to take a chance =D

edit: oh yeah, will this correctly on a slope? (still dont want to take a chance =p)

Some slope/deep water constructs can be a little tricky to deal with. Remember, the play sector takes it's appearance from the control sector, so you can end up with invisible slopes if you don't do it right.

I've set up plenty of slopes above, below and half in half out of water on both floors and ceilings - and had sloping deep water, but I'm not sure if I have actually changed the water depth in any of those situations. As to exactly what you want to do - well, I simply don't know. Some stuff should be fairly easy, other stuff will be tricky, and I can imagine some stuff may not be possible. All depends exactly what you want to do.

=/ i cant get the slope to display above the water, here is how i have it set up;

crap, ok, well the water lowers, BUT...the slope is invisible when the water lowers..i DO have the slop tagged with the water sector

oh yeah, also, is it possible to have the water change to a diffrent flat when it reaches the bottom?

Lowering the water all the way to the floor should stop the water from rendering, I think... If not, you could always use scripting.
