[WinZeth] Well, it's been a while...

Post by Chris »

Been a while since the last (Win)Zeth beta release, so I guess I should release another beta. Still haven't figured that crash/freeze problem though, but hopefully it'll be usable. I don't remember exactly what's changed since the last version, but things I can think of include:

* Fullscreen setting is saved to the .ini
* Map scrolling with the mouse is disabled in windowed mode, and toggleable in fullscreen according to ScrollLock's status. Arrow keys will always scroll the map
* An extra check/warning when given a bad acc.exe path
* A few more buffer overflows caught

I must confess though, I haven't worked on it as much as I'd have liked, which is part of the reason I don't remember everything I've done since last time.

Hmm... oops. A bit over 400k is too big, huh? And of course tripod has decided to take down my site for a reason they won't say.

What would ever give you a crazy idea like that?

Because if he kept making posts with these *bump* things, I'm positive it would be Mr. Chris. IIRC, He made many posts at the Newdoom forums using these crazy *bump* things.

Why would it not be him? :?

Because someone who registered with the name Chris, bestowed with the title ... the Chris guy... probably isn't named Chris. Like you. I've seen neither ample evidence of your extremeness nor your mightiness. Additionally, I doubt you are a duck. As if a duck could be those things.

That's because I had been using that username in replacement for 'Kirby X' ever since the Anaheim Mighty Ducks made a surprising run to the Stanley Cup Finals.

And there was another reason why I changed my username. Jean-Sebastien Giguere became a huge factor to the Ducks' playoff run, and although they wound up losing to the Devils by seven games, Giguere was named the MVP of the playoffs.

I do understand your point in saying I'm nothing 'X-treme,' though. I just extended the 'X' part of my username when I was changing it.

In that case, you probably aren't evil, and have nothing to do with mittens, cupcakes, or legends.

Also, My name's not really Xaser, and my mind's not THAT twisted (mainly because i don't have much of a mind outside of DOOM).

Even if you don't find me evil, surely you must agree that I'm not very nice.

BUG:

I cannot exit from the texture browse window.

Neither, clicking on 'Cancel' or pressing 'Esc', works.

Hey, chris, have you decided to add the support for the new graphic system of v48?

It would be a really welcome addition, you know?

No, I haven't added it in yet. I sorta wanted to get a non-buggy release out before changing things, but I may see what I can do about this. But either way, I believe you can just enter any texture name anywhere and it'll save it that way, although it will complain.

And I'll take a look into that bug.
