D.A.S. is simply a dual weapons mod, the originial doom weapons doubled. If you are gonna say "man, that have been done", there's no need,

not having only the twice the firepower, but also some negative feedbacks (a good proof would be the dual bfg9000. you'll see).
But, still, it's not the main thing. the mod is supposed to be used in specific maps, having around the game area only the original weapons.
The double weapons can be bought from traders with vouchers that you get killing other players.
by now all the weapons are done and one map is mostly finished.

a short description of the weapons:
Dual pistols: two guns. You can fire in a shot-after-shot mode, or shoot both pistols at the same time. nothing negative at all (the weapon is very weak, so there's no need).
double automatic shotguns: as two shotguns fired simultaneously, but with a larger spread and reload. also each weapon drum can only contain 12 shells, so you will need to reload.
double SuperShotguns: 40 bullets. nuff' said. veeeery loooong reload.
dual uzis: twice the fast than the chaingun. sadly one uzi clip can hold only 30 bullets.
double grenade launcher: as powerful as the rocket launcher missiles, the grenades feedback is their limited range. very very long reload after shooting.
dual plasma rifles: need to say more?? these will eat your cells before you can even blink. two fire modes as the pistols. 1 sec heat-up!!
double BFG 9000 (BFG 18k): self descriptive. But the power has two bad parts: 1º 4.5 secs to load. 2º you will find by yourself!!
notes: the reloadable weapons can be reloaded with the secondary fire. in fact, to make them balanced and harder to use you WILL HAVE to manually reload ALWAYS. when the ammo runs out you will be adviced by a trigger sound.
the simultaneous fire mode is slower but deals more damage per second than the shot-after-shot mode. but also wastes more ammo.
