Machinima on ZDaemon

Should ZDaemon have features added to facilitate Machinima filmmaking?

Machinima on ZDaemon

Post by SamuraiClinton »

OK, I used ZDaemon to produce a machinima short which I submitted to YouTube. http://youtube.com/watch?v=E1mh7-Pisk4

Anyway, I want ZDoom to have features that will facilitate machinima filmmaking so that I don't have to have multiple computers (or Microsoft VirtualPC to run another instance of ZDaemon) running ZDaemon on a multiplayer server, because the art of machinima filmmaking could be much easier, and that people are digging my machinima short made on ZDaemon.

1. This is a suggestion... wrong forum.

2. Why the hell would we want this?

It doesn't matter what ZDoom adds because ZDaemon is using an ancient version and refuses to shift from there.

I don't think you understood this, but this is for project developments. Also, if you suggested for ZDoom to have features to facilitate machinima filmmaking, it would fit in as a subtopic.

Basically, what I was describing in the thread name was that ZDaemon was being used for machinima, and that I wanted to discuss a way to get ZDoom to implement features to facilitate so I don't have to rely on ZDaemon to have multiple characters to follow the script of a movie.

OK, I accidentally referred to ZDoom as ZDaemon because I use ZDaemon more, and I think of ZDaemon when I think of a game that starts with Z.

This is your first day here, and your trying to tell me where something goes on the forums? LOL

And also, what TDA said. Zdaemon is too old for the current ZDooM to give a shit.

Edit: use the edit button as well :). see? simple.
Edit2: And who needs this anyway? just get a second computer or learn ACS or something. Zdoom is not your personal movie maker.

I see no project in development here. However, I DO see a feature suggestion and a one that'll get no'd on developer sight as well.

Voted yes because ZDaemon should update its ZDoom version, period.

As for ZDoom, it should currently have enough for your needs.

And I think this as a suggestion would get no'd because it doesn't actually suggest any specific feature.

@SamuraiClinton: There is an edit button. You don't have to triple post saying what you meant.

If this is the kind of bullshit you "produce" then I pray to god that your "features" won't ever make it into ZDaemon or even ZDoom!
