My bug is better than yours.
This 48 thing seems to not like my animation, leaving out texture patches in a few frames. It's not that they aren't being read; the exact same patch is directly above the void spot, if my memory is certain. Additionally, all my "taller than usual" sky things are vertically offset by a varying amount of pixels. Also in the distance, but not so evident in low resolution image is game displaying the usually invisible aawhatever texture. But I can handle that.
More importantly is this: Everything's being faded into palette index 241, which I'm also seeing show up in place of "black" in many instances. I have modifieds colormap and playpal, but 47i is on speaking terms with them. The problem is probably because of something wrong I did (such as modifying 247) but... you know me, I'm hopeless.
Here it is again in previous Zdoom, just because the other picture makes the scene look worse than it really is. That railing is just silly on its own.

Sure thing, pal. I've decided I don't want you to do anything about it. I like the crazy blue mist. But just in case I change my mind again when the serum wears off, here is my paperclip.
The sky thing I'll try to have later, just because I'd need to extract it from a big and convoluted file. Relevance in hiding is a common feature of most aspects of my life.

Come to think of it...that in my [censored word] animation is the exact same blue that shows up in place of black, which is transparent in sky graphics, so a return of usual black behaviour would right that. And I see the alignment and bait texture problems have been mentioned elsewhere since my initial whining, so I guess I'm all set here. Let's hope any errors more are found by someone else first.

I wouldn't count on that, since the problem is isolated to only one section of the sky and not the entire sky. A wad for me to test with would still be best.Evil Mittens wrote:Come to think of it...that in my [censored word] animation is the exact same blue that shows up in place of black, which is transparent in sky graphics, so a return of usual black behaviour would right that.
What is "alignment and bait"?
I doubt it.Hirogen2 wrote:Hm, is this the same as the animdefs bug I posted about?

Alignment refers the sky images, which where misaligned. Ehhh. Bait refers to the first texture in a file, often called "dummy," as it is the unimportant one sacrificed to bring the texture eater out of its hiding place, at which point all the other textures converge upon and slay it. Alternately, you may think of it as something of a messiah among the textures, dying for their sins.
Oikes, what are you up to, .50 now? This probably isn't even necessary, but I have what I have, so. I'm afraid it's a bit large, but if the context is important, then... it is here. We'll forget this within a week.

It will give about 80 texture errors, but that's because of patches not included, and do not influence the animate issue in the .48 I've been using.
