Blake Stone Sound Rips

I got a bug up my ass and decided I wanted all the Blake Stone sound effects. I found this thread: viewtopic.php?p=385492

But, alas, Enjay's link has expired to the mists of time.

Is there a link somewhere on the interwebs to a full sound rip of BStone?

Otherwise, I've tried opening it up in XWE and SLADE and it's not recognizing any of the files as supported. Is there an editor out there that I can use to listen and export?

So, I've installed Wolf3D DataCompiler and I can peruse the sounds, but I can only export the adlib sounds to .adl files.

Anybody know what I can use to convert .adl files to something more conventional, like .wav?

Ok - I figured this out.

I couldn't find any conversion software to do this, so I did what I was avoiding... - I used Audacity to record via Windows WASAPI.

This is always a pain in the ass for me and it never works the same way when I use it and it takes an hour to get it to work.

In my case, I had problems because I have 4 monitors and I use one to get my sound via HDMI which I then use the headphone jack on the monitor to send to my amp to speakers/headphones - 1 Dell and 3 ASUS. I think it didn't like the ASUS because it couldn't differentiate between them, so I switched to using the Dell as the main sound output - and I was able to record the sounds as I play them in Wolf3D Data Compiler.

Doesn't ChaosEdit have a "save as WAV" function?

I haven't heard of ChaosEdit until now.

I looked through it and it allows you to export the low bitrate recorded sounds as wav, but I couldn't find an interface at all for the Adlib sounds.

Hello!

I know it's been a few months since the last post on this thread, but I was having this exact same issue. Tried lots of utilities, different workflows, all dead-ends.

Then I thought of using the Audacity audio editor to essentially record what was coming through my speakers, and then after hitting record, I played the sound Adlib sound effects from the game using WDC (https://keenwiki.shikadi.net/wiki/Wolf_ ... iler_(WDC)).

And bingo! I got what I needed from a raw WAV file :)
