[1.0.3+/Duke] Floor-/wall-aligned sprites

Post by NightFright »

It seems Raze currently does not render floor-/wall-aligned sprites properly, also not on sloped surfaces.

Example: pp.map from "Back in Business"

[PS: That same map also has a massive problem with a gate on the third floor of the prison main building causing a massive map corruption when opening it, creating huge walls which block your path and causing visual glitches all over the place.]

The text file wrote: This episode was designed for EDuke32 and requires a recent version to run
properly. Last changes were made with version r8930, it was tested with the
most recent version as per release date, which is r9278. The maps use sloped
sprites, which is a fairly new feature and will not work properly in older
versions. You can get EDuke32 here: https://www.eduke32.com/
I think this answers the question. As this is an EDuke32 mod it inevitably contains features not supported by Raze.
No, slope sprites are not implemented yet.

Ah, I see. I knew it was intended for EDuke32, but I thought since it doesn't contain any con code, it shouldn't cause much trouble.

Let's check this again when slope sprites are working in the new renderer. Aside from that I don't have any good list of pure mapping features in EDuke32. I know there's TROR but there may be other things.
