[1.03][RR] Nuthouse PA system music wrong
In Nuthouse, there should be ambient PA sounds throughout the hallways, but instead, it plays the carnival music from Suckin' Grits on Route 66. This is probably due to the GOG.com version of RR having included Suckin' Grits on Route 66.

That's a bug?? Wow, I thought the Nuthouse was supposed to sound that way.Fat_Angus wrote:In Nuthouse, there should be ambient PA sounds throughout the hallways, but instead, it plays the carnival music from Suckin' Grits on Route 66. The problem is that the GOG RR distribution is somewhat broken. There's a few loose sound files in the main RR folder that belong to the add-on, but due to how the file system works also get picked up by the main game. One of these is _- you may have guessed it - asyamb.voc - but there's 3 more sound files that get overwritten by this dirty setup.
If you want this fixed, zip all R66 files into route66.zip and then delete them from the RR directory. Here's the relevant list viewtopic.php?p=1186413#p1186413
That zip should be autodetected for playing.
An engine side fix for this is not possible because this is core behavior of the Build engine, i.e. any loose file you put into the game's directory wlll override the GRP's content.
