[d80a32d] [Exhumed] HUD sizes & more not functional

Post by sinisterseed »

So I finally decided to get wet on my feet and moved to Exhumed/PS as well, after rigorously testing the "trinity" I'd say it was about damn time I gave this a spin as well, and right off the bat I've noticed a few issues, but I think there's some awareness of them already, or I could be wrong. This is also the first time I'm touching this game, so it will also be a learning process for me as I dive deeper into the abyss.

I figured I would list some here this time around rather than do my usual spam for each individual issue, but I can do that just fine if splitting them is an absolute necessity.

In order:

1) HUD sizes don't seem to work at all, I spam the buttons and nothing happens.
2) There is no "Save Game" menu option, only load. How exactly do you even save then?
3) Crosshair option does nothing. Is this implemented, actually?
4) Multiplayer taunts entry still exists, but nothing shows up. I would assume this game has no such feature implemented.
5) "Training" doesn't seem to work - https://i.imgur.com/IM7Yz5V.png

Yes, it's a bit rough. I haven't bothered with the HUD setting yet because I'd first like to have a real fullscreen HUD.
There's no save option because the game originally had no save feature - it only saved progress at the end of a level. How to get there? F2 of course.
No, there is no crosshair, and surely no working multiplayer.

Fair enough then ;) .

Got an update here in the meantime. Apparently the screen/HUD sizes don't work during normal view, but the screen sizes definitely do on the automap for some reason.

I think zooming in/out on the automap is also borked, I don't seem able to do it at all.

Also console errors, those were on Level 3 - https://i.imgur.com/EZN56kU.png

One more thing here, seems I had another one of my "DUH, dumbass" moments again.

I was constantly wondering what exactly looked off about the status bar while I was running in circles on a map, in addition to the already mentioned issues. Apparently the key symbols do not change once any of the keys have been obtained, they're permanently blank.

The other HUD elements seem fine, the bullet counter works, the power ups and their respective magic level plus the health seem also fine, but not the keys. They seem to work in PCExhumed.
