I've been told that these are known issues, but I might as well post them here so other people know they are known. Or something.
1.) On startup the console is flooded with errors about invalid .voc files, along with an AL error Invalid Value (0xa003) in oalsound.cpp:1625. This more often than not crashes the game at startup (especially if CD Audio files are present).
2.) Walking around makes loud slopping sounds with every step, like you're constantly wading through something gross.
3.) Selecting "TRAINING" while in-game causes a clone of the player's (that imitates his animations but otherwise doesn't move) to be spawned at their position, as well as for the game speed to be doubled.

It is well known that this game is currently not functional. It hasn't received any attention yet. We wanted to get the other, more important games working before spending time on this far more niche title. The biggest problem here is clearly the sound system. I must have missed something important when migrating it to the OpenAL backend.
For now this also means that issues with the other games have priority.
I might just disable it for the first release versions to prevent people from stumbling over these problems by accident.

Yeah, fair enough, I just had the files handy.

Bug 2) is fixed now. This was one nasty little incompatibility of the file system and took me quite a while to find...

In case Powerslave is getting attention dedicated to it now, I figured it wouldn't hurt to repost the original bug report I did back on the private thread, as that one is now abandoned. It touches upon some of the points Kinsie already made. I would gladly record another video on the latest version to check for more things but unfortunately I'm in the middle of moving to a different city so am unable to do so. I imagine most if not all still apply, though.

The most outstanding issues I've noted here are:
- A lot of the sound doesn't play - I am not sure whether this has to do with positional audio or sound channels or what, but some sounds (pistol firing, item pickup) seem to play virtually every single time (although the sound channels don't behave as they should, because for instance, the machinegun sound is supposed to behave like the chaingun from doom), whereas others like enemy death sounds seem to play almost never.
- It appears that upon starting the level your camera seems to face in the wrong direction, my theory is that this happens because the player can control the character in the level whilst technically still being in the main menu or in the map screen. [This is the *only* bug that also happens in PCExhumed, the rest is, or was, Raze exclusive].
- There are no ambient sounds.
- There is some flickering going on involving certain sprites (Anubis Warriors pain state, Torch powerup idle animation among others) generating textures in mid-air that flicker very quickly on screen. This was caught on video several times.
- The Quit Game button doesn't work if you're in game, or at least it has a high chance of not working.
- The Pharaoh Head at the end of the first level is glitched in terms of graphics.
- The Training button causes some really bizarre multiplayer glitch to start up, as showcased in the video.

Posts like this are not helpful. These will have to be separate reports. Also, several of the bugs should be fixed by what I changed yesterday - that code trashed parts of the animation and sound table and made it draw wrong sprites and play wrong sounds.
And yes, the sound system is still a bit broken - I did some major cleanup on Sunday but it's not quite finished.
With this game and the amount of changes I made to the code, the expected problem areas would be the sound system and the interaction of the game with the menu.

I'm closing this now, if there's issues that haven't been reported yet elsewhere, please do now. This thread is not helpful
