It seems another bug has slipped in since 4.2.0 (I don't recall this being there in that version).
So, what do we have here? Well, it seems the fuzz effect is drawn incorrectly now when the Invulnerability effect is active. Both the Specters, the player's weapons, and perhaps other things are affected. The shimmering (and I think the sprites themselves too) is now white instead of black. This also affects the Truecolor SW render (I didn't check how it displays in OpenGL/Vulkan though).
