Nice! Barely survived Map01, really like how the detail fits together though it does feel a bit cramped at times.
12 months or 12 weeks? Says the latter in the text. (presumably former = on/off, latter=without sleep and may be reported missing to police by family and employer)

Pretty good mapset, thouh I personally wasn't thrilled you've used new monsters. Well, at least you didn't go overboard with them. The difficulty wasn't too high (I didn't die during the entire 5 maps at UV), but thanks to it, the maps feel more like classic ones. I will sure include this into my WAD collection. Just two issues I noticed:
Map02: HOM at linedef 1547.
Map03: It took me quite a while to find and kill monsters hidden in the lava pit (things 305 and 306), because the player has no real incentive to jump into the pit.

A very nice set of maps. Quite traditional in feel (nothing wrong with that) but having some nice up to date aesthetics and gameplay. Personally, I thought that the extra monsters were well chosen and complimented the levels well. I could have done with a few less of those half-mechanical demons though.

Yes, excellent set of maps. Easy and challenging at some point when you don't expect it. I like the add-ons and I find the set very appealing graphically.
Map 5 has bugs ...

Re: Simplistic Evil Release
I was hoping I fixed all the ways to get past those bars, guess not. The blue key obtainable by being on the walls was just a little quirk I didn't really intend but figured it added a bit to the map charm and kept it. Thank you for playing and those screens
. I'm off to squash the bugs.

I agree for the blue key; one must not always take the given path ... Will you give it a "sequel" or any other set of maps ?

Re: Simplistic Evil Release
I started Simplistic Evil as an exercise, I wanted to complete one map a week. I will probably add another five in the future and release it after I get my current project finished, and just keep adding onto it until its a full blown megawad. It'll be my exercise wad if that makes any sense, least that was my original plan with it.

Re: Simplistic Evil Release
The very beginning of the first level is brutal in co-op (HMP). My God, I've never coveted a shotgun more. I hate you so much, Flesh420, lol.
Also, on MAP05 the player can easily get stuck while going up the little staircase (after the final Archie) just before the exit.
