I wanted to leave some context about the origins of Prodoomer, now that many years have passed since its creation.
I started experimenting with very early prototypes when I was around 16 years old. These projects were never released: one of them was called Vilepower, and I also had an early Sonic/Doom hybrid version of what would eventually become Prodoomer. These were tests, ideas, and personal experiments.
The official version of Prodoomer –the one that eventually turned into the mod people know– began development when I was 17, and the first public release came out when I was 18.
Today, as an adult and more experienced developer, I look back at Prodoomer as my first big project. It had flaws, excesses, and strange decisions, but it also had a lot of passion and creativity. It was literally my "school" of level design and modding.
I now work under my current nickname Lea_Onslauger, and I wanted to update this thread so new players have a clearer perspective of how this mod was born. I have also added the download links for the old prototypes below, for historical preservation.
Thank you to everyone who played, commented, criticized, or supported Prodoomer through the years. Every bit of feedback was part of my growth as a creator.
