[Request] Zombie helmets

Post by Sodaholic »

Could anyone please make some new helmet sprites for the zombies for the doom bible tc? Specifically I need the helmets to have red glowing eyes visible through them. (see the unused mockup in the 0.4 iwad). Don't be lazy and just do the A frame. It needs to cover all frames of the helmet (even though the differences are only subtle, but I don't want to paste the EXACT same helmet sprite on to every sprite). Also, I'm not sure, but are there any helmet sprites of when the zombies fall backwards? Because those would be nice to have edited.

You could have a look at theZombie Marine on the R667 beastiary for the death sprites.

Oh yeah? YOU don't want to do that? What makes you think someone else wants to do that?
I'm sorry but it appears that you are the lazy person here.

Look man, I'm trying to focus on mapping right now, and the helmet sprites are planned but MUCH lower priority for me. I'm not demanding that anyone work on it, I was just saying if anyone is to work on it that they shouldn't just do one frame. That's all.

Was it really necessary for you to say this? Seriously, people ask for resources all the time. I don't see why you had to snap on him :?

The Zombie Marine ChronoSeth suggested is your best bet, it fits perfectly. Then you can work the glowing eyes in there yourself.

But the one who has sprited knows the tedious work of just making simple edits, especially applying edits to every single frame and rotation. Calling someone Lazy for not helping "enough" is quite a way to not get help at all.

I think the simple solution is to paste Doom marine helmets on former humans, and light up where their eyes should be. Also darken that former human uniform, it looks too lame like it does by default.

yes i know how to do it, and it sounds easy to say. but if you try to do it yourself, you will notice how irritating it is and how long it will take.

Oh. I thought it's merely about painting some yellow dots with an appropriate blending type.

It is. And it is easy. Which is why something like this should be done ourselves. Besides, with the amount of time one have to wait for someone else to spend THEIR time doing it, it would have been finished already many folds.
