Site move in progress
Most of the site is now online at the new host. If you're reading this, then that means your name servers also know where zdoom.org's new home is. Good.
It took forever to perform the conversion to phpBB 3, but the forum is back online. I'm not quite done setting it up yet, but it should at least be usable once again. There were some problems with attachments in private messages that are in both the sender's sent box and the recipient's read box. If this affected you and you need the attachment, send me a PM with the message's ID (from the end of the URL for that message), and I'll see if I can recover it. Also, if there are any other aspects of the forum that are broken, please let me know.

Re: Site move in progress
wow, great work on short notice, while it will take a little to get used to the new look/layout *layout being minor changes* it looks pretty good so far, also first post on site move XD
that aside i will let you know if i find anything broken, again great work
EDIT - not sure if this was intentional but moderators such as phobos now have a green text for their names instead of red, and members such as tormentor667 dont have a special color anymore

The light has returned to my life.
Regarding new look: a little unusual, but this is only what... the first day? I say give it time. I imagine it will grow on you.

Well not all the skins seem to be working right (prosilver brown & prosilver dark). They seem to be heavily misaligned. I can’t see the "post reply" button (prosilver). However, it’s nice to see everything appear faster.
Nice work Randy.
Edit: Did the forums just tell me that a new post had been posted and it asked me to read it before clicking submit? Finally, a dream come true.

Re: Site move in progress
Great job getting everything back up so quickly, Randy... I was expecting a timeframe closer to a week!
It's just that... well...
[quote="Necromage"]I am not gonna lie, I really not fan of this new look.[/quote]
Neither am I. Is there any way at least to get the user info back onto the left side of the screen the way it is on every other forum, and/or to turn off some of the display features that are causing my browser to freeze for a second or two every time a page loads?

Re: Site move in progress
I do like the new forum styles but there are some improvements I can think of:
- Firstly, the blue areas on Prosilver (Brown) don't seem to be very fitting with the style. Perhaps dark brown?
- As suggested above, the user information looks very strange on the right hand side. It will look far better on the left in my opinion.
Just so you know, BBCode appears to be disabled. (At least in the 'News' forum it is.)

Re: Site move in progress
BBCode is disabled in News, both Bug forums, and in the Feature forums.
BBCode seems to work fine on any other board, though (smileys, too).
