Probably the best attempt at "the backrooms" in Doom that I've seen so far. The atmosphere is very creepy, I was expecting to find some eldritch abomination just around every corner.

Can't really speak to the balance of the map, I barely managed to reach the end by the skin of my teeth through careful bobbing and weaving, but it seems to flow well enough *with or without mods. (*tested with Sirenv5.5 mod only on UV)
I've made a short video ..gonna make a new one soon .
I expected some kind of hideous monster ..nice idea doing it like that .
Now I can use whatever mods I want with it ..bringing the BACKROOMS to any universe I want ..AWESOME

Thanks! yea the monster count can do that but I have a few ideas for later levels.
I will be coming up with my own ideas for levels / areas and such.
ngl I was the same way play testing it my self, just barely coming out the other side alive, and that was my goal.

cool video. I have plans for later maps to hopefully amp up the horror elements too.
Yea I wanted it to work with most mods you throw at it so it should make game-play a bit harder / easier depending on what mod you play with it.
Okay, I played it and I want to cover a few things
1. GREAT. FUCKING. JOB.
2. The atmosphere at first was just borderline creepy, when I heard noises cropping up, I physically said to myself: "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?" and "THIS IS ACTUALLY TERRIFYING!". As a result, I resorted to IDDQD and IDKFA because I had a genuine feeling that shit was going to hit the fan.
3. the map in it's latter half was FILLED with monsters, I know I had all weapons AND god mode but by that point, I just decided to absolutely fucking book it instead! kudos to the music for that.
4. when the big bad had shown up (don't worry, it's just a [DATA MISSING] ) I wasn't even scared, I just booked it because of all the other shit happening.
Overall, this deserves an award, EASILY the best doom mod I've played. Would love to see it expanded upon in the future!
Can anyone please give me a hand with the CRT shader? After unzipping the GZDoom_CRTShader-master.zip I get a "crt.fp" file and don't know what to do with it. I added it to my .bat file to launch The Complex in the usual fashion "-file crt.fp" but it doesn't work. The Complex looks nothing like the 3 screenshots above over here...
My .bat file has the following string of requests :
