Biggest WTF ever.

I was testing a map I made in DoomBuilder 1.67.

Was playing through it when all of a sudden, GZDoom quits.

"WTF?" I thought to myself. I then started recalling horror stories posted by several forum users regarding DB.

I tried to run DB again, but it wouldn't start. Same for GZDoom.

I checked the Task Manager and saw that DB and GZDoom is still running in the background. I killed the apps, then ran DB. So far so good - my map is still there. Then I ran the map again. GZDoom won't start, it says that it couldn't find any IWADS.

I found out that my INI file for GZDoom is gone.

WTF!

I think you may be on the wrong forum for that then, seeing as this seems to be a GZDoom problem.

Doesn't the ini file just automatically recreate itself?

Don't think this has anything to do with GZDoom.

DB 1.67 deleted my INI file!

Never happened to me before, and I've been using DB 1.67 for, well, since it came out. (though not with GZDoom)

Its unlikely DB deleted your ini file.
Chances are if GZDoom crashed while writing to your ini file that may cause it to be deleted. DB has nothing to do with a GZDoom ini file as far as I can tell.

It sure sounds like a DB problem: when GZDoom locks "normally", the INI isn't deleted.

But how does DB delete ini files that it doesn't handle?

Not A Clue

K. However much I hate it, this isn't a DB problem. DB doesn't even handle .ini files, it handles .cfg files, and while it does delete files, well, it can't delete what it doesn't have access to (unless its malware or whatever, which codeimp denies). This is a GZDoom issue.

Probably crash while write, I tried to save a powerpoint presentation, it crashed which caused the file to be deleted.
DB isn't malware eaither, I have the source code and I looked through it
