Certainly. ZDaemon mods usually require more things, like skins and so forth. A session usually has some additional downloads.Enjay wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 2:21 pm Makes sense.
However, it seems to only be a partial mod. There's not enough in the file for it to be doing much on its own. I guess the ACS lumps could be doing *something*. There is a loadacs lump that specifies them but without source, who knows what they do.
Plus it contains a SNDINFO lump that references sound files not present in the WAD.Redneckerz wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 11:21 am Certainly. ZDaemon mods usually require more things, like skins and so forth. A session usually has some additional downloads.
You probably need the link to the exact session that would play LA Adventure to know, though.
Would this be at all relevant? https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/1 ... -reloaded/Kappes Buur wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 12:45 pm It is strange though that session 928 is missing from this list.
And also 930. But here are the ZDaemon equivalents (That, for some reason, are quite literally unobtainium through Google)Kappes Buur wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 12:45 pm No luck on my end either.
However, this image seems to depict the scene from MAP01 of Dwango6. In that context it makes sense to assume that la-list928.wad is comparing the score of various sessions.
It is strange though that session 928 is missing from this list.
There are quite a few reasons to produce WADs with no maps (gameplay mods, graphics/sound replacements etc). However, the WAD in question doesn't seem to have enough in it to do much on its own.
That one works just fine. The only thing to point out is that it replaces map E1M8 from Doom (not Doom 2). So, you have to run it with doom.wad and it will replace the final map in episode 1.
