Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

No sound for music in gzdoom - dafult install, default ini file

Post by aJynks »

gzdoom just suddenly started not playing any sound... I played a session last night and it worked fine.. today there was no sound at all.

I tried redownloading it, loading it from a new directory, not using an existing ini file or autoconfig ... still nothing.

Is there any other place in windows11 that stores data for gzdoom? So I can 100% clean the entire system... I have tried loading cripsy, nugget ans dasda doom.. they all work fine.

Look in your sound panel. Win+R -> "mmsys.cpl" - make sure your speakers are properly set to default.

Thanks!

I got it working. I feel like an idiot now.. it was all my fault. I muted the gzdoom in the windows mixer and completely forgot I did it... sorry for wasting everyone's time.
