Ambitious question about Hardware/Engines [Answered]

Post by Spaceshiporion »

How many of Ultimate Doom builder's functions are theoretically compatible with DOS?

Specifically I'm talking about stuff like Polyobject Anchors, and the engines you select at the start.

I am an enthusiastic beginner level creator, not even close to experienced.
I might not make it as a level creator at all.

But if I wanted to put my fan created levels to be stored on Floppy's and played with DOS,
what would I have to keep in mind?

Thanks for anyone humoring this.

If you want something to work from DOS and be playable from floppy's then you need to stick to the limitations of Doom source ports that work in DOS. If Boom was one of those, then you should be able to use the boom mapping subset of UDB.
