Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

When I play Doom or Doom2 (vanilla) any save I do and then try to reload does not work and says "this savegame needs these files:" (and nothing more)

Some questions come to mind:
  • Which version of GZDoom do you use?
  • Where did you install the game: Drive/Folder?
  • Does the game itself run without problems?

Ok I see now. I have been making maps (Ultimate Doom Builder) with my 4.11.3 folder and recently decided to play original doom but it was on a whole new machine where i just copy dumped everything including the doom wads in to the main folder. I didn't have doom installed on Steam.
I did a whole new latest GZDoom, installed all the steam Doom stuff, and now it snags the Steam wads and saves and loads just fine.
derp.
