Is Delta Touch worth it?
I am debating whether or not i should buy delta touch since both Freedoom and the official doom port aren't compatible with my android. I keep seeing complaints that most mods don't work on delta touch due to it running an older version of gzdoom, however i am not worried about mods, since i play all of them on my pc anyways. I just want a reasonable option to play doom wads on the go. do you have a better alternative? Or should i buy delta touch? What do you use? i am using a lm-k200ha with android 10. Thanks.

Delta Touch is probably the single most up-to-date (and actively maintained) portable Doom solution for Android. You are unlikely to find anything more compatible. Depending on your model of phone you might need to enable the OpenGL ES support, but otherwise I'd say it's worth the paltry investment. (Plus, if you can't get it to work in the first hour-ish, Google Play does let you just refund the thing and pretend the purchase never happened.)

The options for Doom on Android are the official port and Delta Touch. Anything else is not really worth looking at.
I use neither because my phone is far too old and slow for me to bother attempting to run games on it. (It's running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210, so...)

Yes, it is worth it. No, it does not run on older version of gzdoom. The dev option is just latest build, which is nice. But you need some powerfun hw to run it.

Though I no longer use an Android, I can attest that Delta Touch is very good. I highly recommend it for any Android device you may wish to play GZDoom content with, it performs very nicely and never seems to be terribly behind mainline GZDoom. Granted, it's been several years since I switched to iOS, but I can only imagine Delta Touch has remained as high quality as I remember it.

IMHO, if you travel quite often and/or you don't have any other devices available to play Doom (and its derivatives) and you are used to playing with GameBoy-style handheld machines, the D-Touch app might be worth it...
Otherwise, if you are usually at home and/or you have a quite modern computer (either desktop or laptop) and it can run most games from the latest batch, I would just dismiss it, since the gaming experience is infinitely better in most cases with a good PC than on a simple smartphone. (Also, I personally don't find the touch control types to be very suitable for certain games, especially those that require a certain dose of accuracy at some critical moments...)
