The Power of Light (raytracing demoscene)

Post by ibm5155 »

DOWNLOAD - The Power oof Light V1.2
What is this about?
-It's a visual demoscene and the primary point is to show how powerfull the dynamic lights are.

It's actually finished, but I'm converting the Project from (decorate+acs) to zscript only (ok, just a bit of acs will remain)

Spoiler:
The code on the future will be open to everyone to implemente into their maps (with caution since this effect is quite heavy and on the state of the art, many things are done manually)

Also get your fans ready because this map has more than 10000 dynamic lights  (I didn't count the exact number because there are some areas where some objects fill the sectors automatically)

A link will be ready soon, but don't expect some vídeo recording from my part because my gpu doesn't like alot of dynamic lights

How to run:
Gzdoom/Qzdoom (and other ports that support zscript):
Load Ray_Normal.pk3 + MAP_Normal.wad
Qzdoom with the new Light Engine
Load Ray_Normal.pk3 + MAP_Qzdoom.wad
Vavoom:
Load Ray_Vavoom.pk3 + MAP_Vavoom.wad

Ok, you guys better try this one with the latest gzdoom (or qzdoom if it supports zscript).
The first part of the demo may take some time to load, but that's for a good cause :)

EDIT: I was going to record a vídeo, but it looks like my Windows dvr isn't workign
