Alright, I completed the mod, and actually...I wrote my full impression here, but then my computer had a shutdown, so everything was lost :(
But I do have one question in mind:
Do you plan to make a third installment? I think there's a lot of stuff that can be added, such as elements from Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Odyssey.

Probably not, i want to move on with other stuff. It's been a fun ride, but it was very long, i'm tired and i don't think i'd be able to top this one.
If i'll ever return to Golden Souls stuff, it'd probably be small spinoffs

YES i diiiiid it.14 hours of very fun maps.suggestion - make jewels count instead of golden spiders,cuz i accidentaly shot one and it was a pain in the ass to find it

Kinda similar to RedoLane's question, and the answer you gave, do you think you'd probably return to the first Golden Souls?

I thought about doing a "remaster" at some point, which would've been a soft remake (Some things changed, others kept the same, different weapon roster, better gameplay etc)
But in the end, i decided to move on, i want to try new stuff from now on, Golden Souls has been a huge part of my life that helped me grow as a modder and a developer, but at this point, i'd really like to try something else.
Besides, i think the original is fine for what it is.

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming in 1.2 (It will not come out as soon as 1.1, i want to take my time to do some tweaks, including fixing the hud for 4:3 resolutions, tweaking other map layouts etc)

I thought it'd potentially be along the lines of that, but the original is great enough as it is.

And there's one other thing, the shop in hell, there's some sort of backpack item which has a big coin symbol below it, is it meant to be obtainable after a certain number of big coins? Because there is nothing that mentions big coins when I approach it. Or is it merely a red herring that was implemented?

Yeah, you're supposed to buy it with big coins, it's weird, i've just checked and the message is there, much like all the big coin shop unlocks

It done it when I nocliped through to get to the hell shop from the start, but during my game it never came up when I legitimately played through it, it was on V1.0.

Edit: I did an IDFA when I done a playthrough and it actually didn't give me the new backpack when I went to the shop. But was given it with the IDFA cheat, well that explains a lot then. :P

I'm nowhere near done with this but I just had to pop in and say that silhouette sunset is one of the most visually striking things I've seen done in any mod.

is the Yellow Snifit in Pumpkin Pathway supposed to drop a big coin? since the gold crab in sunny seaside did, I assumed it would, but nothing happened. Is this a glitch?

did you find the one inside the tree next to the exit? you have to jump from the bridge leading to the exit to the other side of the tree. its in a small hole right there. youll need good jumping skills to get it, as its a little tricky

By the way, have you ever considered making a weapons-only version of GS1 or 2 to play with the original maps? Don't know how balanced this would be, but if you forego the use of RandomSpawners, clipboxes would be replaced by rifle mags and large energy cells by rainbow bottles/cupid drums. Speaking of which, I don't remember GS1 to have a chainsaw replacement and for the GS2 version you could optionally think of a way to introduce the golden weapons as random/rare spawns alongside the common ones. Just a thought, of course :p
