I am a huge fan of Duke-style level design and this is one of the very few Doom mods with such aesthetics and design. Thumbs up!

So, for whatever reason, I find myself working on a "as fast as you can pull the trigger" version of the Ashes Weapons Pack - there's something satisfying about being able to pump the shotgun faster or pop off some pistol rounds a little more quickly than normal, courtesy of +NOAUTOFIRE and existing A_WeaponReady calls. Also working on reload variants that speed up when you hold the Reload key.

By the way, I know a lot of people have mentioned awards and stuff. Honestly, this is just something I do in my spare time. Most of the credit should go to you guys and your suggestions.

hey made this account basically to say this mod is great! sound track, atmosphere, textures, gameplay, only critisicm so far is the heavy damage sustained on the bike :p . all over i find this a very immersive mod.has all the fallout classic ambiance with trademark doom running and gunning :)

as I said the soundtrack is great but if you ever need someone else to make songs/music for any reason give me a hoy i also make 80s inspired music, also own the very carpenter proph 6synth.

I'm also a designer and would be happy to make some art for the game such as a poster designed in classic 80s fashion.

I am actually accepting any custom art that people want to donate. I'd like to explore some more "lived-in" environments this time around, and get some more groovy graffiti here and there, especially vulture camps.

On the Glock: IT IS. Still have to do the active reloads for the pistols and the MAC-10, but both pistols and shotguns have faster semi-auto fire than if Fire is held and the latter have active reloads. I'll probably upload it and post a link here (with your permission, of course) after giving the remaining weapons active reload abilities.

This mod is really good, it really has some vibe like other postapocalyptic games. The bike is pretty great,, though it has some inconsistent behavior when crashing: you can slightly touch a wall at a very low speed and you'll take what feels like excessive damage, but you can slam it sideways against a wall at high speed and drive away without any damage at all. I wish there'd been more section where you'd use it. As another user mentioned it would be cool if there was a hub map where you could do stuff between missions, like talking to villagers, doing quests (maybe even short stuff in the same map) and of course buying stuff for later missions. More WEPONS like an assault rifle or a machine gun would be fun too

Some things I've noticed are that in the sub-caverns map, after you go through the ventilation shaft to another room (the one that's next to another big flooded station where you can also recharge the lantern), you can't return to the previous section unless you rocket jump, taking a lot of damage, or no clip back. The gate that would let you back to the previous section where you first find those floating monster that explode on death is locked and can only be opened from the other side with a gold (?) keycard. If you activate the switch after noclipping, the door opens, passes through the wall magically, then closes again after doing a full turn. I'm almost sure this isn't intended.
When talking to the dealer in Terminus, the option to buy a brute stim says 'frnzy stim'. On the next map, in the parking lot that's been taken over by bandits, the first stairs to the next floor seem to be missing the first step, though it's a very minor thing.
On map07 there's some grammar mistakes on the Spanish part of the warning sign in the highway, which I think could be made more natural by saying something like "Frene. Tenga su cédula a mano. Prepárese para parar"
One aspect that I'm not sure I should mention here since I only played in Survival difficulty, is that even though the tooltip says ammo will be scarcer, ammo feels rather plentiful and you can potentially finish the first episode with pretty much. The napalm launcher (not sure if that's it actual name) feels like it barely deals any damage even when shooting at pitfiends or cannibals with it, while pipebombs will definitely damage a lot more.

All in all I can see this mod had a lot of love put into it, and I hope it gets new episodes! :thumb:

Incredible mod. Feels like a lost Build engine classic. Really good level design and believable settings.

But uh... how do I leave the 3rd map? The guard wont let me leave, and I can't find this "Bishop" fella anywhere.

Ah, thanks! I noticed it's also possible to kill the guard and escape through there, but I have a feeling that would have negative consequences down the road.
