Very nice job, zdoom works on my PPC minimac (w/o sound of course). If you need help testing let me know.

Oh, I do, I do!

If you run into anything that doesn't work like it should, just leave a note in this thread.

I've been busy on other things lately, hence the lack of new development here, but I'll get back to it, and having specific things to look for and fix would help.

thanks,

Code: Select all

PATH=/~/Library/Application Support/ZDoom/
to [IWADSearch.Directories] in zdoom.ini, if I remember correctly. Try that.
well so far thats not working, i have to leave now so i'll expirement later.......
I just noticed... PATH=/~/ is WRONG

It should be PATH=~/Library/Application Support/ZDoom/

Just joined to say thanks a million Neil. This runs great on ppc mini. I'd been waiting for a long time to play zdoom maps, and figured I was out of luck till I found this.

Btw-To get mine working, I had to change the zdoom.ini as suggested, also to delete the other entries under iwad.search directories. Just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks! I'll definitely fix that in the next release.

It may have been better if you were to have started a new thread about this. That's just my opinion, though.

I'm working towards a stable Mac port based on Neil's work. It uses the SVN code instead of the old 2.17 source. There are some bugs and crashes I want to fix before I make a release. Can't say when that would be.

..what? Yes it does. Neil posted a compiled binary of it; it just lacks sound.
